Refund Policy

The Derby Recreation Commission has a refund policy for:

  1. Facility Rentals 
  2. Memberships
  3. Personal Training
  4. Programs
  5. Recreation Station
  6. Rock River Rapids


FACILITY RENTALS

Derby Recreation Center/Hubbard Arts Center/Oaklawn Activity Center/High Park Shelters

For all cancellations and terminations by Renter, a refund request form must be submitted.  If the DRC cancels the event, the DRC shall provide a full refund of fees paid by Renter, along with the return of the Damage Deposit, if applicable.

A minimum of 25% of the rental fee is non-refundable and shall be retained by the DRC.

If Renter cancels the Agreement on or before the 30th day prior to the rental date, Renter shall receive a refund of any rental fees paid in excess of 25% of the Rental fee, along with the return of the Damage Deposit.

If the Renter cancels Agreement less than 30 days prior to the rental date, no refund will be issued.   The Damage Deposit will be returned.


MEMBERSHIPS

Monthly Memberships – Monthly Memberships are non-refundable

Auto Pay Membership – Auto Pay Memberships are non-refundable.  In order to terminate an auto pay membership, the primary account holder must submit an Auto Pay Cancellation Form either online or in person at the DRC.  If the written request is received 48 hours prior to that billing date, the member's credit card will not be charged again and the membership will be terminated.  If the cancellation request is submitted after the member's card has been billed, the account will be active for the next 30 days.  Autopay Pay Cancellation Form

Annual Membership – Active Annual memberships may be refunded at a prorated amount, based on the number of months that have elapsed since the membership was purchased, and calculated at the regular Monthly Membership rate. An additional cancellation fee of $25 will be assessed on all annual membership refunds.  Refunds will be issued as account credit, check or back to original payment method.  Cancellation fee waived if refund is credited to account. PERSONAL TRAINING

Personal training sessions may be refunded at a prorated amount, based on the number of unused sessions.   An additional cancellation fee of $25 will be assessed on all personal training refunds.  Refunds will be issued as account credit, check or back to original payment method.  Cancellation fee waived if refund is credited to account.  Cancellation request less than 24 hours of the next scheduled personal training session will not be refunded.  To begin refund process, please call Guest Services at the DRC (316)788-3781.

PROGRAMS

The DRC provides program refunds up to (5) business days prior to the class or event start date, with a refund request. After that, no refund will be given.  If equipment or supplies have been ordered for the participant, the cost of these items will not be refunded.  A $3.00 service charge is deducted from all refunds except for those credited to an account. Due to program costs, including instructors, supplies, and to help maintain our class minimum, we ask for your cooperation when requesting a refund. Recreation Station and Personal Training sessions are excluded in this program refund policy, as they have a different cancellation policy.  To begin refund process, please call Guest Services at the DRC (316)788-3781.

PROGRAM TRANSFERS

Participants are able to transfer their program registration to another individual prior to the start of the first class. Transfer forms must be completed in person at the Guest Services desk at the DRC. Transfers will not be accepted after the first class or event date. Memberships, rentals, personal training and Recreation Station are non-transferable.

RECREATION STATION

Recreation Station registration fees are non-refundable

ROCK RIVER RAPIDS

Park Rentals - A minimum of 25% of the rental fee is non-refundable and shall be retained by RRR.

If Renter cancels the Agreement on or before the 30th day prior to the rental date, Renter shall receive a refund of any rental fees paid in excess of 25% of the Rental fee.

If the Renter cancels Agreement less than 30 days prior to the rental date, no refund will be issued.

Season Passes - Season Passes are non-refundable.
